Does no provenance mean the content is human-made?
No. Metadata can be missing, removed or forged. This tool reads embedded provenance; it does not infer authorship from pixels or assign an AI probability.
What does the C2PA verification cover?
Embedded manifests are read with the Content Authenticity Initiative SDK. Local integrity results are shown separately from signer identity trust, remote manifests and certificate revocation, which are not checked.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your selected file is read and checked on your device. The verifier runtime is served by Cobalt; file bytes are not sent to a server.
