Are images uploaded to a server?
No. UploadReady V1 processes selected images locally in your browser and does not store them.
What happens to transparent PNG areas?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white.
Can I also reduce file size?
Yes. Set a Target KB before processing if your upload form has a size limit.
Is PNG always bigger than JPG?
Not always, but JPG is often smaller for photos and screenshots with many colors.
What formats are supported?
V1 supports JPG, PNG, WEBP and best-effort HEIC/HEIF conversion where your browser and file allow it. PDF tools are intentionally not included in this first image-focused release.
