Are images uploaded to a server?

No. UploadReady V1 processes selected images locally in your browser and does not store them.

Will this heavily reduce quality?

Usually no. A 2MB target is generous enough for many high-quality web images.

Can I use this for PNG screenshots?

Yes, but JPG output may change transparent areas to white and can soften text-heavy screenshots.

Can I choose WEBP output?

Yes. WEBP can be useful for modern web images if the destination accepts it.

What formats are supported?

V1 supports JPG, PNG, WEBP and best-effort HEIC/HEIF conversion where your browser and file allow it. PDF tools are intentionally not included in this first image-focused release.
